या रोगाचे लक्षण फक्त अमेरिकेतच नाही तर अमेरिकेतील अनेक राज्यांमध्ये आढळून आलेली आहेत. हा रोग माणसाप्रमाणेच पेंग्विन आणि गाई यामध्येही पसरलेला आहे. कोलो रॅडोमध्ये 2022 मध्ये पहिली घटना आढळून आली होती तर त्यानंतर 2022 ते 2024 या कालावधीमध्ये जवळपास 23 देशांमध्ये मानवाअंतर्गत ब्लड फ्लूची लग्न झाल्याच्या आढळून आले आहे. जगभरामध्ये एकूण 887 रुग्ण आतापर्यंत आढळले आहेत. त्यातील 462 प्रकरणे अत्यंत गंभीर स्वरूपाची आहे.
